$1 Pom Pom

This such a sad picture of the pom poms but I didn't want to use a picture with faces showing to keep things courteous to the guests at the baby shower.
I followed THIS tutorial on Martha Stewart's website. I also found THIS youtube video that REALLY helped make them look better.
Every website that I found said to use 8 pieces of tissue paper. I found that if I used 10 or even 12 they looked prettier and nice and  full

How to Make a Diaper Wreath.

Get a $1.00 wreath and hair elastics from the dollar store. I think I used 30 something newborn or size 1 diapers. A month ago I knew, sorry. :O)
You keep the diaper folded, and just open it and slide it on the wreath. secure it with a clear or white elastic band. As you add them push them to be over lapping.

Here is what it looks like pre-decorated. :O)

 Then I used ribbon and weaved through the diapers. I did it a second time so the every diaper had ribbon in the front. I just added a couple ribbons hanging and a little bow. You can also adding little baby toys or a pacifier, etc to it. I liked the clean look with just ribbons.

When I moved to Rexburg, ID to go to college I wasn't able to really keep it going, so I had to stop selling it.

I really need more paper to be able to keep doing stuff. What I love about Stampin' Up is that they do all the guess work with colors and everything coordinates! I just love it!

$3 Christmas Presents 2009

Since my family likes Dalton just a little, we decided to do a little craft with a picture of him for them. 

I used boards from Hobby Lobby that were $1.50 or less, a picture of Little Man, a little paint, scrapbook paper, matte Mod Podge, a couple clear stickers, and little accessories like buttons, twine, ribbon, hardware...etc. 

First I painted them planks and let the dry. Then I cut the scrapbook paper and roughed the edges a little with the blade of my scissors, adhered it with the Mod Podge. After it was dry I roughed the edges of the pictures and then used a thin layer of the Mod Podge to the back of the picture. Don't do too much or it will bubble. After it was dry I applied a thin layer over the paper and the picture. You'll want to be quick and gentle. The picture can get too wet and start to smear the image. After it was all dry I added all the little touches to it.
